Sound card problems

g'day
i have recently had a problem with my computer which caused me 2 reinstall windows
before this i had working sound and not a problem at all
now i cant get any sound out of my speakers and it is not a problem with the speakers so i figured it must be the sound card
in the device manager my speakers have a ! next to them but i dont know how to fix it
my sound car is a Radeon 9600 series and my speakers r creative ones
any help would be much apreiated

You need to install the sound card drivers,either from the CD that came
with the card or from the web site,for the latest drivers.

The last time I checked the Radeon 9600 series were video cards. If you find out what kind of sound you had post back.

well if it is a video card then it should have anything to do with my sound aye
then why the hell arnt they working
in the control panel it says code 10
sooo fustrating
is there anything i can do to find out what is wrong

Look at the device manager page and tell us what is says under sound, video and game controllers.
