Hi guys, hope you can help. I clearing out programs to free up some disk space and it looks like I've inadvertently deleted the sound device - oops! Any ideas how I can get it back or can u point me in the direction of a free download.

your motherboard should have come with a "motherboard utilities disk" insert this and reinstall the sound drivers.

Be carefull what you delete in future

erm it should pick up your hardware automatically? I mean even a new card is automatically picked up.

go to the manufacturers site, download the drivers, install, or you can go to device manager and "update drivers"

how do you mean sound device though, do you mean codecs, the actual hardware device itself or just the hardware software that came with it? easily resolved just reinstall the software and check device manager hardware is working properly
