Sound Driver needed

I have laptop Compaq Presario C500,


anybody tell me from where i can find audio driver for this ?????

That driver is included in Windows XP, so you should be able to reinstall it with a WXP disc in "repair" mode.
It is also included on the Compaq Softpaq Upgrade utility at www.hp.com under the 34 models of the C500.
This is a Conexant Modem. If you can see the model numbers in the BIOS, you can do a google search for it, and can also find it on www.driverguide.com.
This is a very widely distributed series of laptop, and the driver is widely available...
If your audio is not working, it is possible that it has been burned out by over running the audio... as sound on the C500 is very fragile at high volume.
