sound issues with asus a8nsli deuxe

Every time i attempt to higher the volume it cuts completly this is driving me mad any ideas. this is the onboard sound.


please help??

Try updating the sound drivers.
If worse comes to worse, just buy a sound card. They are pretty inexpensive.

latest ac97 drivers. see how ya go!

oh and check your ports, mine (same mobo) are a bit buggy, just had a prob with em, after adjusting the connection worked fine, so if you have another speaker port try connecting through that one and see if same thing happens.
