Sound Skips

    The sound on my computer is really messed up. Whenever I try to play video and music files on Windows Media Player, it skips. The song timer goes like twice as fast. The music in some games skips also. Whats happening and how do I fix it?

    My OS is Windows 98.
    Onboard audio.

    You probably just need to reinstall the audio drivers.

    Is this something new or has it always happened. Its a pretty common problem with Win 98 because the onboard sound takes up alot of resourses.
