Sound suddenly a lot quieter?

Hi

I have noticed recently that the sound on my PC is a lot quiter than it used to be. I need to turn my speaker up to three quarters or full to hear things properly
All the connections seem ok
Any ideas?

Go to volume control in control panel and make sure your volume levels are all the way up,

Didn't happen to install Flash recently did you? I've noticed embedded vid in webpages is a lot quieter than it was before and I recently installed flash professional 8 on my work machine.
