  1. I have a soundblaster live 5.1
and also an onboard soundcard on a asus k8n-e (i think) motherboard
Ive disabled it but i still think it detects that card.

Well I cant install the offical drivers for my sounblaster it gives me this when I try:

So ive installed drivers from windows the certified soundblaster live drivers and it works... so obviously It is installed on my computer why dont the offical drivers detect my soundblaster live?

Does anybody know were I can download Manual drivers not the ones in the package?

    thanks in advance
    neon.

Thanks for the help but it didnt work now after a long time of thinking :(
    i finally did it..
everytime i tried to install from a package it said that no soundblaster could be found in my system so i unzipped one of the packages with winrar and manually updated my drivers with the extracted files so its properly installed as soundblaster live 5.1 but when i try to run the package it still says no device in my system but who cares its installed and functions just normal. thanks to myself and the person who posted above me.

Well if it works don't fix it.
But I'd still want to to know why it's happening
just incase other hardware developes trouble.
If it does you are welcome back here!

    Happy sounds!! :)
