    Heya,

I have a problem with Soundmax on my Asus P5LD2 SE motherboard in Vista. It does work, just that the sounds is coming out only through the front port (front side of the computer) while I want it coming out of the port on the back side (the port physically put on the motherboard). How do I change the output port? In XP, this could be done in the Soundmax mixer but I do not have one now, and I have downloaded the latest drivers from Asus.

    Please help!

    Thanks!

Go to the control panel and look at the sound options. Make sure that Playback is set to the correct device.

Hmm, when I look at the sound options, I can choose "Speakers" and "SPDIF" (don't remember exactly what it say).

There should be an option somewhere in the sound are that will allow you to select the different types of Sound Hardware you have installed. To check what the sound device is as listed, go to your system in the control panel and access the device manager. Take a look under sound and audio and you should find out which is which
