SP3 and Half-open TCP connections

  1. Windows XP service pack 2 sets the half open TCP connections to 10 and there are patches like "Event ID 4226 Patcher" to change that value..... in the new Service pack 3, is the half open TCP connections also set at 10 or a similar low value? Is there a patch out to change the value? I want to know before i install sp3....

    Thanks in advance.

why do you care? a real user intending to perform real data flow in both directions
may need more than 10 concurrent connections, but 10 or more 1/2 opens is a DoS technique
and not necessary for normal systems operations.
