Speaker Sound Distortion

Hi,

I have the Creative Inspire 5800 5.1 Surround Sound Speakers.

Ever since I have had them, they make like a sort of hissing or buzzing noise after being turned on for a while. My speakers are positioned like this:

[CENTER]<Centre Speaker> [/CENTER]
[CENTER]<Rear Left Speaker><Left Speaker> <Monitor> <Right Speaker><Rear Right Speaker>[/CENTER]

The reason the rear and the front speakers are next to each other, is because I am in the process of decorating my room and I cannot place them on the wall behind me. If this is the reason why the sound is hissing, please tell me and I can move them. If not, please tell me why as the sound is VERY annoying.

The only way to eliminate this problem, is to turn off the speakers for a while and turn them back on again.

open up the volume control panel and mute Line In and Aux.

I tried muting them both, but unfortunately, I still have the same problem.
