Speakers in general

I've heard its best to turn the volume ALL the way down on ANY sound pruducing item whether it be a tv,stereo,computer etc,etc before turning it off. Any feedback , good or bad

Yes , I have heard this . It is suppose to be easier on the speakers. Plus easier on the ears when the device is turned back on.

Yup, reduces the chance of a stray frequency bursting the speaker.

Or you can balance the sound if you attack matching system like SONY BRAVIA 5.1 or 71 system with the HDTV. I don't like it when people want the TV speakers higher then they crackle next time. No need to turn to the max today..
