Spybot caused Quicken connection problem?

I installed Spybot and it may have changed certain settings which is affecting my Quicken connection. When I try to connect in Quicken, the screen flashes through for a quick second and goes away. No error message, and no transactions are downloaded. I have no problem connecting to secured websites. It looks like somehow Quicken connections are blocked.

I have since uninstalled Spybot and turned off Windows Firewall - still having same problem. Any help is appreciated!!

Spybot also has a thing called teatimer and I believe also a seperate internet explorer utility. Make sure these are both uninstalled too.

I have a good friend with XP/Pro, Quicken, and Spybot -- runs just fine.

have you looked at the System Events to see what has failed?
