I recently had to clean spyshredder off my parent's evesham laptop. It took a while but eventually I managed to remove it completely.
However, on switching their laptop on today they have now told me that they keep getting AVG warnings of trojanhorse downloaders: setup.exe.trojanhorsedownloaderzlob.RN and Dc15.exe.trojanhorsedownloaderzlob.RN
They connect to the internet via a netgear wireless router which has an in built firewall as well running AVG antivirus and antispyware. They are also running the windows xp firewall. Their browser is Mozilla Firefox and as far as i know they don't visit dodgy websites...
My initial response is to to format their laptop and reinstall windows xp. is this too drastic or can this be rectified another way?
