Doesnt anyone know of a really good program that can find the unnessacery hiddin programs running in widows xp and shut them down, as well as a program that can find adware and spyware and remove them for cheap or even free?

Because i got a notebook thats about as hot as an oven, and when it sits there doing nothing the cpu fan is always goin high speed trying to cool the cpu thats always crammin number! so im thinking its all those unessasercy processes controled by the system.

Have you looked here at TechSpot? Look for Ad-aware and Spybot especially.

Go to www.cpuidle.de and D/L and install CPUIdle.
It will reduce your CPU temperature by 5-10 degrees C.
Don't know its effect on battery-life though!
