Standard VGA Graphics Adapter (Vista)

Hi everybody

Yesterday I installed Windows Vista and every thing was going OK untill I tried to install graphics card driver, the installation completes but there is no any driver after restarting PC though I downloaded the last version of drvier from NIVIDIA site.
I'm working under 640x480 resolution now .

Graphics Card: GeForce 8600 GTS (256MB)

There is a photo shows the problem in the attachments

Download the latest drivers for your device at www.NVidia.com

Be sure that the drivers you attempted to install aren't installed. If they are, uninstall them in the Device Manager.

Boot into Safe Mode and install the new drivers here. Reboot after the installation completes and see if they're installed.

Give people time to reply, nobody is being paid to sit here and help you. If your post goes unanswered in a day or two and is lost somewhere a few pages away fine, but it's the middle of the night in the US and your post was still toward the top of the pile.

I did as you said but the problem is not solved yet
I tried to update the driver from Device Manager and select driver but I got this message :

Just execute the .exe for the drivers you've downloaded. Don't install them through the Device Manager.

The best solution was return to XP
