Last night my computer was running fine. I played some oblivion then turned the computer off to go to sleep. I woke up this morning and turned on the comp. the post and initial start up is normal, then windows goes to the loading screen. After windows loads my computer goes to a black screen and doesn't respond to anything. I ran the computer in safe mode for awhile to see if anything seemed abnormal, but didn't notice anything. Please let me know if you guys have experienced anything like this, or have had similar problems in the past. Any help would be appreciated.

This is the system I'm running.

    Amd athlon 64 3000+
    1gb ram
    sapphire radeon x800gto
    80gb western digital hdd
    abit nf8 mobo

So in safemode the video card works but in normal boot it does not? Hmm reinstall the ATI drivers. Some1 else just last weekend had the same thing using Oblivion, but I think his was a card issue (or was it?)

Yeah, everything runs fine in safe mode. I'll try reinstalling the drivers. Thanks
