    Speaking about Steam OS, has there been any updates since its initial release to the public?

    probably there are updates in repositories due to debian structure but regarding core steam os functionality you'll have to ask Valve itself.....

    The only 2 advantages SteamOS has over Windows is that Valve is an awesome company (better than MS IMO) and it is good for HTPCs. Other than that, it is trash.The only way a high end machine would succeed with SteamOS, is if it was dual booted with Windows, otherwise there is no point in dumping $2000 onto a water cooled Steam machine. But what I dont understand is why would you need to play a game on Linux when you could play it on Windows. Unless there is a noticeable performance improvement, I see no use.
