Sticky MSN Explorer search history

  1. I have a funky problem here guys, see if anyone has seen this before.

I have a system on Quest DSL with MSN.
It uses MSN Explorer, with MSN, Powered by Quest, home page which is http://quest.msn.com(or something like that)

Right on that page is MSNs search bar. When you click it, or double click, it pulls down the search history. This cannot be stopped!
I've cleared everything imaginable from IE's options. I've gone through MSN Explorer's options, but to no avail.

I've searched the HDD and registry for the search terms and still couldn't find them. Maybe they aren't stored in plain text?

If I open the same URL in IE versus MSN Explorer, the search history is NOT there. It only appears when the page is opened in MSN. But MSN gives no options to clear this history.

I've ran various tools, and I think, about 3 "windows washer" programs but none have cleared this history either.
The system exhibits no other problems. He just wants to clear his history.

    What's up with MSN?

    Cleaner that worked

Just a quick follow up. I was not able to find the list, but I found a program called Super Browser Washer that was able to do the job.

    Download it at http://www.gohotsoft.com/

They have 3 versions but only the "super" one can do the MSN Explorer.

Hope this saves someone some time cause it took me forever to find!
