So I got a new motherboard recently and I formatted my old hardrive. I've had tons of problems, maily with drivers for I believe my cdrom drives as not all game disks will install. Yesterday the biggest problem occured. The computer was on but it was not in use and wasn't doing anything however it shut down and restarted back up, like it had updates or something. Now it restarts again at the windows XP loading screen everytime, included last good settings that worked and safe mode. I tried reinstalling windows and it stopped during the installation to give me a blue screen with the following information.

stop; 0x0000007e (0xc0000005, 0xf748e0bf, 0xf78da208, 0xf78d9f08)

PCI.SYS - address f748e0bf base at f7487000, Date stamp 3b7d855c.

I haven't found anything on the microsoft site to help and I have no idea how to fix this. If I can seem to find a way then I will have to buy a new hard drive and I would have no idea what caused this problem so I wouldn't know how to prevent it.

Any help or ideas would be great, thank you.

Re-install Windows
During the initial setup remove the partition
Once Windows is installed, locate and install all your Computer's (or Motherboard's) manufacture drivers
Install all Windows security updates and Sevice Packs
