strange problem..

i have an ATI x300 video card, and when i connect the s video cable to it then to my tv to display anything i do on my computer on the tv as well i get a humming sound, i am using a chaintech card with an optical out.. what could be causing this?

can you be any more specific as to your problem in detail and where this humming sound comes from? if the computer is unusable, you're in trouble.

there are settings in your ati software that set up monitors and TVs for use with your video card, look into that.

well no i get a picture and everything fine on the tv, it is just causing my dolby reciever to make a humming sound only if its plugged in at both ends.. i have 2 other s video cables plugged into my reciever and it doesnt do that, so im at a loss for why it hums only when my video card is plugged in...
