Suggestion for a new computer

I don't know if your old Arctic Cooler 64 is different from the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro but the AC Freezer 64 Pro now available will fit socket 939, AM2, AM2+ and AM3. I've used it on my most recent couple of AM3 CPUs and I retrofitted an old socket 939, Athlon 64 FX-55.

One thing that could potentially be a problem is the close proximity of the RAM DIMMs to the CPU. If you use RAM with tall heatsinks, like the Ripjaws or Corsair Dominators, it might interfere with the bottom of the Arctic Cooling heatsink's fan cage. I don't know for sure if it will be a problem for you but it seems close with my "regular" height Crucial RAM on a Gigabyte 790FXTA-UD5 motherboard. I had to temporarily remove the fan assembly (it's super easy though) in order to fit the RAM because the cage overhangs the RAM. It's just something to be aware of. You can let us know if you have a problem with it.

I would;d go with the x3 720,its a BE with and unlocked multi and it has L3 cache the Athlon II does not have. its an OEM CPU, but you are going aftermarket Heatsnk anyway.

This is a better cooler as well,

and an alternate suggestion for your memory a s well:

The core unlocker is a great feature, possibly turn that x3 720 into a x4 940 with a push of a button.

The Phenom II X3 720 would be better than the Athlon II X3 IMO. Also, if you're willing to spend 20 bucks more, you could get this mobo instead.

Having quite a hard time choosing between the motherboards listed, they all seem so similar lol

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...a&AID=10446076&PID=3675192&SID=skim951X490024 - This one is micro ATX, and actually costs more than the other ones.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131647 - Reading the comments the board seems to have a lot of problems with screws, and it's I/O but the features are killer.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128444 - And this one just seems normal lol.

And uhhh, kind of a random question but I've been looking at the Antec Three Hundred Cases, and I'm seeing that there is just a regular 300, and an illusion case. Does anyone know the different? The price is cents away from eachother, and I really can't tell the difference except the illusion comes more fans.
