Instead of buying a laptop, I have decided to just do a complete overhaul of my PC. I'm trying to keep it below $700, if you have any suggestions or edits please do so.

Specs:

Case: Current Sigma Shark Type W
Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX
CPU: Core 2 Duo Wolfdale E8400 3.0GHz
GPU: XFX 9600GT 512MB Extreme
RAM: Muskin 2x1gb Dual Channel

So Far: $537.95

I also need some suggestions on a PSU.

Case + psu for $80 after $20 rebate
psu is a Antec Earthwatts EA500 with 34amps

Your basically getting the case for nothing since the psu alone usually costs that.

Okay, add that and since it's an instant rebate it only $80...$617.95...now for Vista, I want to get an OEM of Home Premium so...that's $717.95. Not bad...Can anyone recommend a better processor? I'm an AMD person so I'm not really sure...

I have the E8400 myself.
The only other one that comes to mind if you want to save some $ ($65) would be the E7200:
