system crashes randomly

  1. Hi everyone,

    i need help in fixing this problem. my system crashes for no reason and i don't know what is causing it. here is the error i pulled from the event viewer.

    Error code 1000008e, parameter1 c0000005, parameter2 22f1fb00, parameter3 f04a6833, parameter4 00000000.

    We need a lot more than this daviddoss97,

    Computer make and model
    Memory type and amount
    Video (on-board or card)
    Sound (on-board or card)
    Hard Drive(s) make and capacity
    Operating System (XP-SP2, Vista, Linux)


    ...and such

    Once I cillided with Error 1000008e and it was an overheatting issue. Check it.

    I had a box that would randomly just shut off and it was just the CPU fan was to small. The board would cut power to protect itself from burning up.

    xp sp2
    on board video & sound
    512 MB ram
    not my machine so i can't remember the rest of the details
