system shutting down

my system prompt this error

" THIS SYSTEM IS SHUTTING DOWN. Please save work in progress and log off. Any unsave changes will be lost. This shutdown was initiated by NT Authority System. MESSAGE: Windows must now restart because the Remote Procedure Call (RPC)service terminated unexpectedly."

then as i restart my system it will just prompt me again..

I agree it does sound like the blaster virus. I have therefore moved this thread to our security and the Web forum.

Very Important: Before deciding whether you should clean or reformat your system, go and read this thread HERE and decide what it is you want to do.

If after reading the above, you wish to clean your system, do the following.

Go and read these instructions and see if it helps.

Then, do the following.

Go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT, AVG Antispyware and Combofix logs as attachments into this thread, only after doing the above.

Also, let me know the results of the AVG Antirootkit scan.

hi,

im unable to do the cleaning of the system coz after power on, a few seconds later this error will pop out then will shut down the system. is there any other option coz im considering already to reinstall/reformat the system.

Since you`re unable to follow the instructions due to your problem, a reformat and reinstall is probably the best way to proceed.

Howard, can he not turn off the RPC service through a command line.

I don`t think taluks has the chance to disable the RPC service as his computer won`t stay on long enough.

That`s why I advised a reformat.
