System32 always opens up after logging into Windows

  1. When starting the computer running XP everything seems to be ok. When the desk top loads i get the System32 folder open on top of the desk top. When i close the System32 folder everything works as before. Any ideas on how to STOP this folder opening. Thanks.

    Check your startup list by typing "mscofig" in run box. Post back in any result.

    I opened the System Configuration Utility and unchecked the first box and re-started windows. After six restarts no system32 folder. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
