Tabula Rasa and Net framework 2.0 or xp 64

I just got back from BestBuy with this new mmo that I want to play. It requires that I Net framework 2.0. Easy right. NEVER! "An error occurred while installing system components for Components. Setup cannot continue until all system components have been successfully installed." Then I get the BIG micro$oft "DUNNNNNN" sound with another window "A required component was not succesfully installed: .NET Framework 2.0 Setup will now abort"

Now I hear that I have to uninstall NET framework 1.1. I went through the steps on the official MS site. Didn't help at all, actually couldn't get far at all.

Can someone please help me solve this problem.
