Task Manager Wont End Processes

After i got this *Virus* from Aim during a IM from a friend called pictures.pif. i scanned with AVG and got it clean but then afterward MY task manager wont end process. it opens but when i try to end it, it shows a quick flash and it stays the same... it happen to a friend also but he reformatted his pc
