Taskbar Freezing in WIN XP Pro

Hi all,

Another problem:

In a WIN XP Pro, the task bar freezes after a re-installation of the OS. The virtual memory is running at above the recommended allowance. SP1 is installed.

The freezing does not occur often, but often enough.

I have searched for solutions and they said to increase virtual memory and install SP1. However, I do not see why SP1 would make a difference.

If anyone can be of assistance, it would be greatly appreciated.
