    I bought a photosmart 8250 printer which for some reason wouldnt work. on my mahine said no port.. Hp told me to get a new cable and usb2 card.
    i bought the techgear usb2 card installed it .. all the drivers went in with no conflicts. But as soon as i plug the printer in the machine reboots.. Any ideas.. thanks

    is windows completely up to date? (not just via automatic updates, but through start > windows update?)

    also, are you getting a blue screen before it reboots? and if so, what is the error message?

    Its up todate and no i dont get a blue screen it just reboots..
