Technicolor monitor screen!

My system is P166,32MB ram,Win98,IE 6+SP1
Problem is ,after bootong,monitor displays different colors like orange,blue etc and not Windows default green.Only after sometime it changes to green.
After working for sometime it changes back to dark colors.
Is this Hard disk/monitor/wiring problem or software problem? Kindly advise solution

Probably a bad connection between the video card and the monitor. Could be the monitor/vidcard going bad too.
