    Ya know rather than just running around shooting everyone and everything, how about something like Dirt2 multi?...I can suck at that too!

    I've got a party I don't really want to be at Friday Night, so I'll pop in and say hi, come back and beat you all at TF2, sounds good to me :p

    Sorry about not making it into the last session - my older daughter wanted to look through her baby pictures with me - took us a few hours to go through 3600 pics.

    Haha, that's a bummer. It's always strange to wake up and see all your clocks blinking.

    It was a bummer, because usually I set the alarm on my mobile phone, but I forgot to take it upstairs with me to bed, so set the alarm clock on the table next to my bed instead. :haha:

    Its just sods law that the one night I don't use the alarm on my phone we have a power cut! :(

    Oh, and my mic is knackered and is refusing to work. So I'm going to order a headset in the next couple of days. I might have one in time for this weeks fragfest, not sure yet. So you might have another week of me not talking.... Nobody wants to hear my UK accent anyway! ;)

    I might play this week, too. :) My poor Steam account has been gathering dust because the usual group I play with has been disbanded.

    Steam ID is ObiWanJerkobi but it will show up as Gandhi, Warlord of Warlords (Civilization joke) when someone adds me.

    You got that right, the more the merrier. We'll be kicking the night off with TF2 if there are enough people interested. See you all tomorrow night :).

    :) Just a few hours until we start. I'll join a semi-active TF2 server around 11:30-11:45. I'll update this post with the server information when I'm in, but feel free to just join off my Steam account (Matthew).

    *Edit*

    We'll be playing here tonight: 208.100.41.166:27015

    dumb question, I don't do multiplayer much. If I do not have a headset, will I just be a hindrance to others? ...i mean i will anyway cuz I suck, but you know what i mean.

    Not in the least red. We're on a public TF2 server right now and not chatting much. We talk more during L4D2 as it's just TS members usually, but even then you don't *need* a mic to play. Feel free to hop on sometime :).

    As per Matthew you really mate - I've only just got myself a headset, and the last 2-3 months has made absolutely no difference without one.

    I don't talk at all when we play TF2, I only really talk when we're playing L4D2, as its only TechSpot members playing usually.

    You should come and join in, its great fun, and would be nice to see you there on a friday night. :D

    @Red
    I was contending with random crashing unfortunately, so really weren't paying much attention to who was playing or not - I did see a few regulars, and got BBQ'd by Matthew enough times as well.

    TF2 can be real frustrating at times - Some levels I'm absolutely awesome with certain trades, but in others I'm useless.

    Time to find the sledgehammer for my PC then.... It's been an absolute ar$e since moving to the Asus motherboard and DDR3 RAM! :(

    @Leeky
    I am sure you've read tons of threads about Asus and RAM issues here; even then you went ahead and bought one? :p

    On a more serious note, I hope the hardware isn't bad, it is just some setting related issue.

    Edit: I fully wanted to come join you guys today, but fortunately ......... i fell asleep :D

    @Archean,
    I can be forgiven, I didn't buy it. :haha:

    Basically I wanted dual GPU and DDR3 support, without having to upgrade socket type.

    As much as I wanted DDR3 I'm not so sure I'm happy with my decision really. Thankfully I still have my previous parts sat here, so all is good really. :D

    Like you said, its likely the OCZ gold series RAM isn't configured correctly. Memtest really showed just how bad it was, it was faulting with nearly every pass!

    I'm half tempted to just build a quad system using these parts, throwing in the GTX280 I have, and also the Q6600 and then selling it, and getting a new CPU and motherboard to use these OCZ DDR3 sticks with.

    I always said I'd never get Asus after the comments on here all the time, and having now owned one, I believe my initial comments were well founded. :haha:

    I'm sure plenty of others are fine with them, but I much prefer the Gigabyte "it just works" motherboards.
