    As per Matthew you really mate - I've only just got myself a headset, and the last 2-3 months has made absolutely no difference without one.

    I don't talk at all when we play TF2, I only really talk when we're playing L4D2, as its only TechSpot members playing usually.

    You should come and join in, its great fun, and would be nice to see you there on a friday night. :D

    I was contending with random crashing unfortunately, so really weren't paying much attention to who was playing or not - I did see a few regulars, and got BBQ'd by Matthew enough times as well.

    TF2 can be real frustrating at times - Some levels I'm absolutely awesome with certain trades, but in others I'm useless.

    Time to find the sledgehammer for my PC then.... It's been an absolute ar$e since moving to the Asus motherboard and DDR3 RAM! :(

    I am sure you've read tons of threads about Asus and RAM issues here; even then you went ahead and bought one? :p

    On a more serious note, I hope the hardware isn't bad, it is just some setting related issue.

    Edit: I fully wanted to come join you guys today, but fortunately ......... i fell asleep :D

    I can be forgiven, I didn't buy it. :haha:

    Basically I wanted dual GPU and DDR3 support, without having to upgrade socket type.

    As much as I wanted DDR3 I'm not so sure I'm happy with my decision really. Thankfully I still have my previous parts sat here, so all is good really. :D

    Like you said, its likely the OCZ gold series RAM isn't configured correctly. Memtest really showed just how bad it was, it was faulting with nearly every pass!

    I'm half tempted to just build a quad system using these parts, throwing in the GTX280 I have, and also the Q6600 and then selling it, and getting a new CPU and motherboard to use these OCZ DDR3 sticks with.

    I always said I'd never get Asus after the comments on here all the time, and having now owned one, I believe my initial comments were well founded. :haha:

    I'm sure plenty of others are fine with them, but I much prefer the Gigabyte "it just works" motherboards.

    True, I believe things should work 'just fine right out of the box' as not everything is bought/owned by a geek (sorry but I guess we are little geeky anyway) lol.

    Depending on numbers we might kick off with TF2 > Though that decision is Matthews, not mine, but thats what usually happens.

    You should grab hold of it when you get chance, its actually great fun, if a little overwhelming at times - the zombies just never end, and its guaranteed you won't get a break when you need one most in that game. :D

    The decision is always placed in the hands of everyone who's playing, really. I just try to gather a consensus and go with the flow. I have no problem kicking off with TF2 tonight :). See you all there.
