TestDisk on a bootdisk?

  1. Hey. A while ago I deleted the wrong partition on one of my boxes and I need to get it back. I think TestDisk can do it:

    Could someone show me how I could get it on a DOS boot-disk?

    For XP -

    1.Place floppy in the computer.

    2.Open My Computer, right click the A: drive and click Format.

    3.n the Format window, check Create an MS-DOS startup disk.

    4.Click Start

    5.Copy testdisk.exe and cwsdpmi.exe to floppy.

    Sorry.. I should have mentioned that I dont have a floppy drive.

    I suggest you download the basic version of Ultimate Boot CD and burn

    that to CD (about 100 MB).It not only has TestDisk on it,but also a lot of other useful

    utilities,that you might need in future.
