Texture artifacts in various games (screenshots)

RADEON 9600XT using DirectX 9.0c and Catalysts 5.5 under XP SP1. I get a bunch of artifacts on either 2D interfaces (like the clip/ammo display in SWAT 4, command buttons in Silent Hunter 3) or on the textures of 3D models and lightmaps. I've tried playing around with the in-game video settings as well as the settings in the ATi control panel but with little success.

I asked ATi and was astonished to receive a response within a few hours. Unfortunately, they basically told me "We don't feel like helping you at all so we'll just say it's a configuration or software problem and send you on your way to figure it out for yourself". I'm guessing it's probably something really simple that I missed or didn't know about. I'll keep looking into it but if any of you know the cause it would probably save me alot of time :)
 
Have you done any extreme Overclocking, as that looks like the classic sign of failing memory. I would get Ati tool and see if you underclock the card a bit, to help. Other then that i would say the card is on the way out.

New video card

Bledking usually when you get artifacts on your screen when u play a game usually mean's that your video card is no good and usually have 2 get a new video card :knock: ):
