just wondering what peoples opinions on the best dvd backup software is...at the moments im using dvd shrink, its not bad, i havent had too many problems but sometimes it fails and the backup dvds play poorly or not at all.

DVD Shrink was great in it's day, but it's development ceased over two years ago. I prefer the combo of CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD. it is fast, easy and is regularly updated to deal with new protections.

dvd decrypter works on 90% of the dvd's I've had that dvdshrink can't handle.

what is the easiest way to burn movies for newbies

I have used DVD shrink with almost no problems however I'm having problems just wondered if there is another easy way to burn movies (for us less savy computer people).
    Thanks newbie on the block

    tuff getting past copy protect
use tmpgenc to edit vob to mpeg 1 or 2
if you have any type of file nero will burn it just fine
free burner (deepburner pro) works great no spyware that I have noticed
but I don't use on my internet machine
I don't do it but maybe some type of mirroring (imaging software) will work
can't you capture video in real time
I do swf files works pretty good (camtasia)

all the progrmas mentioned are good. but CloneDVD2 with AnyDVD is the simplist to use for a beginner. you can download 30 day free trial versions of them at slysoft.com
