I really wanted to reply to the original post of "The disk in drive F is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?" but I guess it was too old (2005). By the way the drive letter has nothing to do with this problem. ALSO: in my case this is regarding a DATA drive NOT an OS Drive! (read on)

(I have a 160 GB Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9ATA/133 HDD Made in Singapore on 08SEP2003. With a BAD NTFS partition table that windows keeps asking me if I want to re-format the drive... No I don't want to blow all my data thank you very much... SO if 'Testdisk' fixes my problem I will post the results here and be donating for sure!)
