The Ludicrous Graphics Test: Dual GTX Titan SLI for 4K and Triple Monitor Gaming

I am so jelly of your work sometimes Steve.
I get to setup Dragon for physicians and your testing games with three 4K monitors.
Atleast its Taco Tuesday, steak and cheese here I come.

Two frikken titans, over 2 grand total, and can't even run games at solid 60 4k everything max? This is utterly pathetic, one titan, by this point in time, should be able to run ANYTHING, at ANY SETTING, 4k 60 fps MINIMUM. I was going to buy a titan this cycle, thinking finally I'll have a premium 4k single-card solution but I guess I'll have to wait another 2-3 years before that becomes viable at the consumer level. (600 dollar price point)
Go ahead and wait, more for us :)

I have the Titan X 12GB.

I would prefer if they designed these cards with 4 DISPLAY PORTS rather than 1 HDMI+ 3 Display Ports.

I do appreciate the card runs quietly under my 3 monitor load. I like it because it's beefy and able to handle everything I throw at it. I was getting over 120 FPS in DOOM 2016 even in the big Gore Nest sequences.
Is that the Maxwell or the Pascal version? They're both 12GB....

And out of curiosity, why do you need 4 display ports on the card? I like having the HDMI port as I plug it into my receiver so I can watch movies on my TV....

How many people are running 4 monitors at once with just 1 card - even if it is a Titan X?

He would also need to specify the resolution of those monitors, but because "beefy" I guess it slipped his mind. Still ain't no fatty boom boom triple slot behemoth.

I'm running 4 monitors at once with a single GTX970, drive my 4k via display port, my two auxiliary monitors with DVI/DVI to HDMI and my AV receiver via HDMI, granted I only game on my 4k I'm still using all 4 outputs, nor would I want more than the 1 display port because then adapters would be required for my older DVI/HDMI monitors.

"A feature we're keen to test but currently can't is Nvidia's Simultaneous Multi-Projection engine. This upcoming feature is hardware dependent and specific to the Pascal architecture for now; ...

This will require game developers to implement support and no released titles have done so yet, at least not to our knowledge. "

WTF! This is news to me. When this new Pascal architecture and the 1080 was released, one of the main new features they were blowing about was this Simultaneous Multi-Projection engine being there!

It was one of the main reasons I wanted to get a new NVidia card after living with AMD for last few years.

And now I find out that it isn't even working yet and that it won't just automatically work with all my current and older games! I.e it will NEVER work with current and older games.

So in effect triple monitor gaming (which I haven't bothered with for a good while now since BF3) is still as useless as ever as the two side monitor imagery is just a distorted, stretched mess of polygons.

I wanted to use this feature for Battlefront and upcoming Battlefield 1. Any idea if DICE is going to be implementing this into Frostbite???
