The task scheduler service failed to start

Hi everybody, let me see if anyone can help me.
I have a Windows 2000 Server with SP4.
Every time that it is restarted, on the event viewer logs the following event:

Source: Service Control Manager
Category: None
Event ID: 7000
Description: The task scheduler service failed to start due the following error: The executable program that this service is configured to run does not implement the service.

After the Windows is up, you can click on start this service that it start with no error.

Please, anyone can help me ?

Go to the Services page in Computer management
When you bring up the services list ,right click the task scheduler and on it's property page make sure it is set to start automatically.
You should check that if it is dependant on any other service ,that it also starts auto...

Ok, thank you the answer.
I have certain that it is set to start automatically and the service that it depends (Remote Procedure Call (RPC)) too.
When i reboot the server i don't have problems with the RPC service, it start without problems but the Task Scheduler no, only after the Windows bring up i can, manually, start it.
I find the sc.exe command that could help me to resolve, like they inform:

"sc query service name
The information displayed can help you troubleshoot possible causes for the error."

But If the result of WIN32_EXIT_CODE is zero, then Service Control Manager did not attempt to start the service because the error was detected first.
Analyzing the SchedLgU.txt i find the following error:

"4.71.2195.6920"Task Scheduler Service" 11/16/2004 7:15:55 PM ** Error **
An error has occurred that will negatively affect the operation of the service.
The specific error is:
0x00000427: The service process could not connect to the service controller."

Looking for this information, what i found was:

"Error Message:
The service process could not connect to the service controller.
User Action:
Contact the supplier of the running application."

But who is the suplier of this service, it isn't the Microsoft ?
Please, help me because after this i didn't understand nothing more....

You do not mention any scheduled event that you have set to run.
Anyway ,If you use Daylight savings time you might want to look at Microsoft support there are a couple of issues you may want to look at.
