I'm building a desktop for Suse 10.2, Fedora w/ Apache, and Win XP. I am about purchase a eVGA 6800 GS video card, and wanted to see if anyone knew about driver issues (or video card issues in general) with linux.

It will ship with generic drivers, you'll have to get the real ones from nvidia. There are countless tutorials on how to do this.

Probably Here or Here is where you should look.

All video cards will Just Work with VESA drivers, so getting it to work is a non-issue.

You need to worry about drivers if you want some fancy hardware acceleration or something like a dual-screen setup.
