Performing sleight-of-hand magic tricks with everyday items like coins, paper money or a deck of cards has been the norm for hundreds of years. They're still impressive to watch but if you really want to captivate today's youth, you need to speak their language and implement the props they are most familiar with.

You know, smartphones.

That's the idea behind magician Doug McKenzie's latest routines. As you'll see in the clip above, he's incorporated not just smartphones but other sorts of technology into his tricks. Some of his stuff is a bit easier to figure out than others but either way, it's a clever way to remain relevant in today's culture.
