What do you get when you combine 25,000 Post-it Notes, 300 feet of reflecting sheeting, 200 pounds of steel, 75 rolls of painter’s tape, a muffler and other assorted items? An insanely awesome Rube Goldberg machine that’s sure to impress.

The clip, filmed at 3M’s global headquarters in Saint Paul, Minnesota, is an excellent example of an over-engineered contraption that pulls off a simple task in a very complex way. Sure, it’s little more than an ad for 3M but it’s cool nevertheless.
