got a BSOD last night:

doing a bugcheck I got

unable to verify timestamp for nvraid.sys

bugcheck 1000007F, (8, 80042000, 0, 0)

Hi Tedster.

nvraid.sys is you Nvidia sata/raid driver.

See if there are any updates available.

Your bugcheck code of 7F means.

0x0000007F: UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP

One of three types of problems occurred in kernel-mode: (1) Hardware failures. (2) Software problems. (3) A bound trap (i.e., a condition that the kernel is not allowed to have or intercept). Hardware failures are the most common cause (many dozen KB articles exist for this error referencing specific hardware failures) and, of these, memory hardware failures are the most common.

I know you`ve been having problems with your ram, so it might be a good idea to run memtest again.

Regards Howard :)

hmmmm... just replaced the ram - no ram problems... i wonder if the graphics card is going bad.

I'm not getting BSODs for the RAM specifically anymore. In the last two days since I installed the new RAM I didn't get any BDODs at all.

I suppose that`s possible Tedster. Obviously something`s not right.

Did you manage to find any updated sata/raid drivers?

Regards Howard :)
