time update errors

    when i built my comp i had time update problems

    a buddy of mine fixed it but i didnt watch so i dont remember how to fix it


    but im getting an error when i try to update from either site

    Since you haven`t given much info, this is just a guess.

    Click start/run and type services.msc into the run box and press the enter key.

    When the window appears, maximise it. Double click on the following service, set the startup type to automatic and click start. Click apply/ok

    Windows Time.

    Close the services window.

    If you are receiving errors from the Windows timeupdate,toggle it to the goverment time update

    an error occured while trying to sync. with time.windows.com

    and it happens on the other one too .gov?

    any other advise?

    Check to see if your firewall software if blocking the Windows time server.

    Check your firewall.

    Turn it off try the sync and see if it takes.

    I have the same problem at times but its usually the server

    nope still the same error

    well i turned off windows firewall and it flew on .gov

    if i have mcafee firewall do i need to have windows firewall on?

    Windows Firewall is crap. Disable it
