I have a Tiscali modem which features only a spare usb to plug into the back of a computer, there is no spare ethernet slot. I do not wish to use wireless routers, so I was looking for a usb to ethernet converter which I found on amazon but doesn't actually work?, if you could recommened a usb to ethernet converter if there is such thing! or a wired router which has a USB slot I would most appreciate your help.

Wait I think I can just replace the modem with a ADSL modem router?, well atleast one that is compatible with my ISP (Tiscali), if you could recommend a cheap'ish one that would be great (£40 max).

British Command - can we assume you are in England?
If so, you can get the result you want with something like this - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/90976. Beware though, in general the cheaper they are the worse they are to set up.

hehe you may assume I'm from England, believe it or not this is for a 'friend', and he doesn't want to go spending too much on something that may not work although I've reassured him and told him it will work. But thanks for the link I will send it to him.
