hey i need to know in less then in hours time im getting an amd 3800 dual core prosser with a motherboard not sure for like $400 can you please tell me is that ok not ripping me off

thanks

For 400 dollars, you're getting ripped off totally. You can buy an E6600 and a good socket 775 motherboard with that.

Even if you wanted to continue sticking with AMD, you can get a much much faster processor for 250.... (assuming the motherboard costs 150, you'd still be getting a really good motherboard for that price)

need the speed of the RAM, as well as the exact motherboard model too, if you really want a good opinion.

If you think thats good I'll sell you a complete Athlon 64 system, everything but the monitor included for $500 + Shipping. (2800+ @ 1.92, 1GB RAM, 200GB HD, GF 6200, Asus K8NE-Deluxe, Enermax Noisetaker 470W)

Um

Yeah thats a total ripp...

Look here:

CPU (concidering is a AM2 not the older 939 which you really dont want)
Brand new : $79

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103729

Mobo (a good brand name SLI mobo which i doubt is what you would be getting) $99

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813127236

RAM: (1gb dual channal kit of Kingston DDRII 800 with good timings, doubt thats what your getting) $95

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134064

For all new stuff it comes to $273

For Sh-ts and Giggles add in this decent video eVGA 7900GS $134 after rebate

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130056

And your $7 over what you where offered to buy

well, you already know it's way overpriced. (hopefully you didn't go through with it)

...but out of curiosity... who or where are you looking to buy this "deal" from?

That is a very bad rip off. I got my Motherboard and CPU, for like $135. And I have an awesome OCing board and nice X2 CPU. Even though its the lowest rated on. Actaully I have it clocked at 2.1GHz (Well actaully 2.09GHz. Pretty much the same thing though.)

im so pist off. the dealer is called crazy computer. anyway i cant do anything now just wondering will that be ok with windows vista ultimate? my graphics card is geforce 6600. im just gonna tell you my mother board and exatly what i bought an asus m2n-mx mother board x series amd athlon 2x 3800 dual core prosser and a ddr-2 1gb of ram not sure about the ram part.
thanks

I don't get it, why would anyone post a "is this a good deal", and buy it before reading the comments?

Also, I guess that you're not really an enthusiast, why did you buy windows Vista Ultimate, given that the features in it are really geared more for:
a: enthusiasts
b: people with too much money to spend.

BTW, your comp should be able to run any version of Vista.
