Toshiba 2595XDVD LCD

  1. My Toshiba 2595XDVD got rained on ( actually it was condensation from an A/C vent that dripped onto it). The water dripped onto the screen and ran down it. Now the LCD is completely dark, hook it to another monitor and everything works. If you look real close when it is booting up you can see a faint image in the LCD. It looks like most of the water ran down in the area of the inverter. Is this enough info to tell if it is the screen or could it just be the inverter?

    i havent done any component level work on an lcd so i cant really say what it is.


    did you atlest let the thing dry out before trying to hook it up? Is is still under warranty? Give the manufacturer a call and let them know its not working.... but of course do not mention the water or they wouldn't service..
