toshiba pass removal

  1. hi everybody i have a laptop toshiba SP10-554
    model:psp10e-00nk5-ar i forgot my bios password and i cannot remove it if someone give me any tips i would be grateful..thanks?

    Quite often you only need to remove the CMOS battery for a few minutes.
    Looks like a big silver coin, might be wrapped in colored plastic.
    Careful you don't break anything during removal/reinserting.

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

    Unfortunately, most Toshiba laptops have the bios password stored on an eeprom chip and therefore removing the cmos battery won`t help.

    Check this link HERE for bios password removal on some Toshiba laptops. If that doesn help, then take a look at this article on the Toshiba website.
