Hello! Welcome to TechSpot!

Toshiba Satellite A75-S231 P4 or an Acer Celeron 2.0 for gaming?
Can you show links to the 2?
Acers are minimal at best, not so good a price and will do ok
for general uses. Pc Mag review
The Toshiba's are rock solid and will give the extra needed for most games.
Pc Mag review Not as spendy as the acers.
Refurbs are reliable too. Price check
I am not slamming Acers, it just seems to me that a celeron is a diet P4.
G'Luck

Centrino not celeron

Sorry guys its an acer centrino compared to a toshiba satellite p4.please reply fast I need to choose a laptop

The Centrino is not a Celeron. I'd go for the Centrino as it's designed for mobile computing and runs a lot cooler than a PIV. As for the gaming question it's going to depend on the capability of the graphics subsystem but I would't expect anything too extreme from a Radeon 9000 and I'd definitely go for one with discrete video memory if possible rather than shared system RAM. Don't expect to play Far Cry at anything more than a few FPS if you turn any of the settings above low but non-stressing 3D games should be OK.

Yeah I know Centrino's not a celeron.I did a typing mistake, however games I play are far from needing toooooooooo much VGA,I play things like Unreal Tournament 2004, FIFA 06, NBA 06,Generals Zero Hour and such games...yeah I said in another post that the graphics display in the P4 is ATI 9000 and the one in the Centrino is a Nvidia 32mb or max 64....

Hey anyone! Please what would you go for? Acer centrino 2.0Ghz or Toshiba P4 3.3Ghz.I know that a 2.0 centrino is the same speed as a 3.2Ghz P4.But I need the laptop for gaming...Is it good?
