Toshiba Satellite Hangs and Bugs Out

  1. I have a Toshiba Satellite 1200-121S laptio that's about 2 years old, and all of a sudden it's started having some interesting problems. After it's been on for a couple or 3 hours, it gives me one of the these two error messages:
    Blue Screen of Death:
    Kernel data inpage error
    NFTS.SYS-address F9431DAD
    base at F93DC000,Datestamp 41107EEA

or it goes into the following error (not blue screen):
    For Realtek RTL8139(A/B/C)
    RTL8130 PCI FastEthernet Controller v2.12 (010425)
    Intel UNDI,m PXE-2.0 (build 082)
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
    PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE-ROM

The hard drive also sometimes sounds like it's writing/reading continuously (even if I'm not accessing it) for a few minutes before it wigs out and gives one of the preceeding messages.

Any ideas? Is my poor laptop on its last legs? Thanks for any help you can send my way.

Weve been seeing an issue on Toshibas involving Bad RAM slot solder joints. Sonys have been known for this for years and its surfacing on Tosh. as well. We'd be glad to l;ook at it for you if you need help. Estimates are free and we can generally get your unit back in a week..
