Toshiba Satellite Hangs and Bugs Out

I have a Toshiba Satellite 1200-121S laptio that's about 2 years old, and all of a sudden it's started having some interesting problems. After it's been on for a couple or 3 hours, it gives me one of the these two error messages:
Blue Screen of Death:
Kernel data inpage error
STOP
0x0000007A(0XC03E50C4,0XC000000E,0XF9431DAD,0X061AE860)
NFTS.SYS-address F9431DAD
base at F93DC000,Datestamp 41107EEA

or it goes into the following error (not blue screen):
For Realtek RTL8139(A/B/C)
RTL8130 PCI FastEthernet Controller v2.12 (010425)
Intel UNDI,m PXE-2.0 (build 082)
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE-ROM

The hard drive also sometimes sounds like it's writing/reading continuously (even if I'm not accessing it) for a few minutes before it wigs out and gives one of the preceeding messages.

Any ideas? Is my poor laptop on its last legs? Thanks for any help you can send my way.
