Toshiba Satellite laptop that will not start.

  1. I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop that will not start. When I turn it on I get the message "we apologize, but Windows did not start successfully." I do not have a CD for XP, as it came installed. I have tried every option offered on this screen, i.e. Start Windows Normally, et cetera, and none of them work. Any suggestions, for a computer dummy, on how to cure this problem?

you will need to purchase an XP CD or get the original installation disc for your laptop. I suggest the former. Your registry or HD is corrupted.
